The photographs of our most recent completed project are finally here! You may remember from our previous blog on our client Swire, that we were working on transforming their office. Swire is a really cutting edge advertising firm that hired us to really give them something special. Their space is pretty cool firstly, because it used to be an old factory. The building already had lots of charm with brick walls, original windows, and roll-up industrial doors. It definitely needed some work, but it had great potential from the start. Here was the space before…

Here is the space now…

In our initial design meetings, Swire asked for something fun and different. They are a fast growing company with a hip and “out of the box” philosophy, so they needed something to reflect that personality. Their logo and marketing materials had great simplicity, and a bright lemon yellow color which is very striking. We decided to use this as the color scheme inspiration and paired it with a bright lime green, charcoal, and a clean crisp white. We used organic elements in juxtaposition with the linear and modern lines for an interesting twist. There are some retro pieces such as the egg chair, and some modern touches that have an edge such as the Lucite nesting tables or the white crocodile ottoman. We used bright textural fabrics, metallic leathers, glossy lacquered surfaces, bright white quartz counter tops, and softer organic elements such as the driftwood floor lamp.
We had such a great time working with Swire. What a fun and creative project to be a part of. You can check out their new blog to see what they are up to!
Hillary,
The space turned out amazing. You have such a talent! Wow… I want to work for Swire now
Thanks Missy! We love fun projects like this
Very nice Hillary, I love it…..Abby.
Hillary,
Upon your first visit here, I knew you’d come up with something that fit who we are and made our space uniquely us. It was awesome being able to work from a blank slate with you and I love what you’ve done with our place.
The pics don’t show Hillary’s amazing lighting plan since we haven’t done it yet, but trust me, it’s very cool. And, I look forward to doing that in the future along with some other work upstairs.
You’ve got an amazing eye for interior design and I’m so glad we worked together on this project. I wish you the absolute best in 2011! Thanks for all your spectacular work!
Zack
